Removal of organic impurities in a hydropower plant by laser technology
The ROD 1000 laser was used to remove organic deposits and old varnish from the steel-steel structure of the waterworks. This method was chosen with important requirements in mind – to minimise abrasive particle contamination of the surrounding area and to maintain the existing anchor profile to prepare the surface for the new coating.
The ROD 1000 laser enables the precise and efficient removal of organic deposits and old paint from the steel-lithium structure. Since the laser method does not use abrasive particles, the risk of environmental contamination is minimized and the existing surface anchor profile is saved. This ensures optimum surface preparation for the application of the new coating.
The use of the ROD 1000 laser causes the effective removal of organic deposits and old paintwork without damaging the existing surface. This process meets all requirements for environmental protection and surface preparation for the new coating.
