Laser Cutting and Engraving of Plastics for MK Plexi

MK Plexi, the largest manufacturer of plastic components for advertising agencies in Prague, uses laser systems from SEI, supplied by NARRAN, for cutting and engraving plastic materials in large formats and substantial thicknesses.

Laser technologies are a key part of MK Plexi’s production process. The requirement was a laser solution capable of efficiently processing large-format parts and thick plastic materials while maintaining high precision, and at the same time supporting both custom and detailed production.

Seamless Transition Between Serial and Custom Production

The installed laser workstation combines multiple CO₂ laser systems with different working areas and a desktop engraving laser. This configuration enables flexible deployment depending on the type of job and ensures a seamless transition between serial and custom production. The solution also includes the Eureka laser system, which has been in operation for more than 15 years and continues to meet long-term requirements for stability and operational reliability.

Thanks to this solution, laser cutting and engraving of plastic materials up to 70 mm thick is possible, with achievable precision of up to 0.01 mm, covering a wide range of applications in the advertising production industry.
