Engine cleaning - Škoda Garde

Škoda Garde – engine revitalization using laser cleaning. The subject was engine cleaning on an old Czechoslovakian coupe from the 1980s, specifically on the Škoda Garde model. The engine was decorated with a valve cover painted silver and a cast iron cylinder head with a colour resembling copper. The owner had a desire to return the engine to its original condition – to remove both paints and clean off the grease and dust without having to disassemble the entire engine.

After an unsuccessful attempt at mechanical cleaning, he decided to use laser cleaning. The photos show the result of two hours of cleaning with the ROD 500 laser. Thanks to this process, it was possible to remove all the dirt and return the engine to its original shine without having to disassemble the individual components.
