ROD cleaning lasers have countless applications and more are added every day, in this mini case-study we focus on the use of the ROD 200 in the Autochladiče Hladík company.
The family company Autochladiče Hladík has been operating since 1995 and focuses mainly on radiator repairs, welding and gluing of plastics, welding and soldering of aluminum and other non-ferrous metals.
A year ago, they bought the laser primarily as a tool suitable for the preparation of materials for the above-mentioned applications – laser cleaning for the preparation of radiators for welding, where the laser appears to be the best way due to the cleaning properties. Unlike conventional methods, laser cleaning is non-abrasive and does not damage the surface of the cleaned object, at the same time there is no risk of corrosion damage to the object and, unlike chemical cleaning (but also sandblasting, blasting, ….) it does not create any contaminated waste material.
However, the laser is also used for many other applications, such as cleaning car parts from grease, carbon and rust, food parts, tools and baking sheets, surface preparation of materials before welding, gluing and painting, removing powder coating and paint from parts. The laser can also be used for cleaning molds, historical objects, masonry, stone facades and sculptures, graffiti removal and much more.
