Laser cleaning of cooling system parts and brake levers for an American Packard car. The owner was keen to leave some patina on the brass surfaces, so the focus was on removing oxidation layers, grease and old paint residues with the ROD 500 pulsed laser. In this process, extra care was taken to avoid damaging the fine details.

Of note is the careful construction of the riveted and brazed heat sink, as well as the thermostat that controls the opening of the fins in front of the heat sink via a system of pushrods. The Packard car dates from 1918, so the restoration has maintained an authentic appearance and preserved all the characteristic features.
