Veles F20 marking station installation for Boeing

We designed the Veles F20 as a capacitor marking station for the customer. These are actually intended for aircraft, so it is essential that they are legibly and durably marked. Although a small working area (in this case 120×120 mm) is sufficient, the requirements for accuracy and quality are stringent.

Marked product – inspection under the microscope

Last year, part of Boeing’s production from the Czech Republic moved to Coleraine in Northern Ireland (UK). The customer tried to provide a marking station for the new operation on site, but tests of the available equipment showed that the quality was not satisfactory. The company therefore decided to ship the Veles F20 from the Czech Republic to the UK.

This confirmation of excellence was pleasing, but it also meant that we were in for a challenging working journey. Fortunately, there was no problem during the transport and we were able to start the installation. Our technicians anchored and connected the station (only a 230 V / 50 Hz power supply and compressed air supply are needed for operation) and fitted it with a new Raylase scanning head for increased reliability. This was followed by training for the new operator (in English of course) and finally a mock test. During this, the operators tried out the controls and together we set all the necessary parameters.
